Technology has moved on since then and they have managed to make the system much smaller, which not only makes it less intrusive on the lake bottom; but also makes them more aerodynamic and will improve your distance when fishing at extreme range; as well as making it less likely to get caught in weeds and vegetation during the fight.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eApart from being more compact, the main difference from the original is that it now has three different ways it can be set - it comes fitted with the normal tension spring that you will be familiar with from the original, which allows the lead to be dropped as soon as there is pressure on the top of the Heli-Safe; but now also comes with a red spring, which requires considerably more pressure before it releases the lead, and is perfect for situations where you only need to get rid of the lead occasionally and the lake is reasonably free of weeds and vegetation; it also still comes with a collar, like the original, which prevents the lead from being thrown out at all.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e The Mini Heli-Safe comes with a size 11 half-barrel swivel and can be fished either bare or with leadcore.
