What are fishing lures?
Flashing is a type of artificial bait used to attract predatory fish. They must therefore resemble real fish that predatory fish would eat. Flashing comes in different sizes and designs, depending on the type of fish you are trying to catch. The different sizes and weights also affect how far you can cast the flash. Heavier flashes will of course be difficult to cast far with, but on the other hand they will be able to sink to the bottom of the water, where you will therefore have the opportunity to catch the fish that are staying there. Fishing flashes are always ended with a hook, so that the predatory fish can be caught. Most flashes are attached to the end of the fishing line, but you can also buy through-the-loop flashes, where the fishing line goes through the flash, so you have a better chance of getting the flash to imitate the movements of real fish.

Blink for coastal fishing
Take for example our various coastal flashes. As the name suggests, these flashes are perfect for coastal fishing. This is partly because they are very versatile flashes that can be used to catch many different types of fish. If you are therefore looking for a versatile fishing flash, you can, for example, look towards our Abu Garcia Hammer 30g coastal flash, which is available in 4 different colours. These flashes have a strong attracting effect on fish with their vibrating action in the water. The flashes are designed so that the weight is placed at the back, which creates optimal conditions when it is to be cast into the water.
You can also look towards Abu Garcia's Retro Blink 3-pack, which was relaunched in connection with Abu Garcia's 100th anniversary. These are 3 classic and well-known blinks in the colors gold, silver and copper.
Microblink for put and take fishing
Unlike coastal flashes, which are very versatile, micro flashes are designed for put and take fishing. Micro flashes are distinguished by being considerably smaller than most other flashes, and they sink very slowly when you do not pull the line in. To get the most out of a micro flash, it is important that you pull the line in slowly, so that the fish can bite more easily.
On this page you will find a lot of microblinks that can take your put and take fishing to the next level. For example, you can try your hand at this Fidusen trout collection microblink from Præsten, where you get 4 enticing flashes that the fish simply cannot resist.
Try dynamic fish: running flash
If you are looking for more dynamic flashes, you should try through flashes. This type of flashes is particularly effective at attracting other fish, because the movements of the flashes can really imitate real fish. This is because the fishing line goes through the flash.
