Sea fishing is incredibly popular in Denmark. Typically, jigging rods are short, sturdy rods that can withstand the relatively heavy jigs that are often used for fishing.

Depending on the current and depth, you will need different types of jigs with different weights, and therefore it does not matter which rod you choose. Fishing rods for sea fishing and jigging

Pike fishing is the most common form of sea fishing in Denmark. It is usually fished with strong 5-8 foot pike rods and typically with strong multi-reels.
The jig typically weighs between 100 and 500 grams depending on the depth and current. Since the depth in Danish waters can vary greatly, it is advantageous to have jigs in different weights in your tackle box. It can usually be an advantage to fish with as small a jig as possible and only increase the weight to hold the bottom in the current or to hit the bottom after a catch.

Pike rods are considered the classic sea rod and are a short, strong rod that can handle most things. They are often made of fiberglass and are built to hold heavy pike or sinkers. Usually combined with a larger multi-reel.
