The first step in the hunt for the coveted salmon is to find out where it is. Sometimes salmon fishing can be likened to looking for a needle in a haystack. Fish can be far apart in the stream, and you can easily waste a lot of time on stretches that are empty of fish. Of course, it is not possible to say anything definitive about where the salmon are, but there are some types of spots that are more interesting than others.

We have made a list of good places to try your hand at salmon fishing:

Alk knots – are hard sediment at the bottom that appear on the surface as irregularities in the flow.
Inlets – both large and small inlets are good sites.
Shallow water in the middle of the stream – the salmon will most often be on the side where the main current runs.
Turn – here the salmon can stand at the entrance to the turn on the “inside” or at the exit of the turn on the opposite side.
Stream wedge – often forms in the middle of the stream, and there are almost always fish here.
Bagging/pool – the salmon can stand in the entire pool, but most often it stands at the front of the pool in the calm water right on the edge of the current.
Narrowings – Anywhere the stream narrows are potential campsites.

Most salmon anglers know that frustration creeps in after a whole day of fishing without any contacts. But with the advice above, you may be better equipped to choose the perfect spot for your next salmon fishing trip.

No rush or rush

Despite being busy with many orders, due to wild prices, I received my 3rd order for May/June today without any errors or defects.
