Vaders
Waders are indispensable for the active angler. When you are wearing waders, you have the opportunity to get much closer to the fish than when you are caught on the shore. There are many different types of waders, but especially the breathable waders are a sure hit when you move a lot while fishing. The breathable waders are made of a thin, waterproof material that you can breathe through. This allows the water vapor that occurs to pass through the material. The breathable waders help to prevent condensation from forming on the inside, and you therefore get a better indoor climate in your waders.
Separate wading shoes or fixed wading boots
It can be difficult to navigate through all the different types of breathable waders. It is therefore a matter of making it clear which functions are important to you and your fishing. Do you want the shoes to be a permanent part of the suit, or should the waders be separate? There are advantages to both types. The models with fixed boots are easy to put on and take off. They are therefore an advantage on hot summer days, when you may want to take a break and get some air to your legs. At the same time, the fixed boot can be an advantage on cold days, when it can be difficult to stay warm. This is because the fixed boot does not tighten around the feet and therefore does not reduce the blood supply to the feet, as laced boots can do. However, the separate shoes are a great advantage if you want to walk a lot while fishing. They have a much better fit and provide much better support for the foot and ankle. The separate shoes are often also made with a different bottom, which makes it easier to wade on slippery and difficult surfaces.
Mobility is an important element
Another important thing when you are going to invest in new waders is that they fit well. And by fit, we mean that you should be able to move freely in them. You should therefore take into account what clothes you often wear when fishing and ensure that there is room for this clothing in the model you choose. You should therefore be sure that you choose the right inseam length, and another good trick when buying waders is to make sure that you can go all the way down to your knees in them without difficulty. Finding the right size is extremely important. Not only because the breathable models are not as elastic in the material as other models, but also because it can put unnecessary pressure on seams and welds if you have chosen them too small.
