Float fishing is one of the most classic and popular methods in put & take lakes . With the right float you can present your bait in a natural way, and at the same time clearly see when the fish bites. In Denmark, floats are used especially for rainbow trout , brown trout and golden trout , but also for species such as perch. Types of put & take rafts

Classic pen floats

Slim pen floats are ideal for cautious fish as they offer minimal resistance when the fish bites. Perfect for trout on calm days and when the fish are close to the surface.

Plug float

Large and visible floats are easy to see from a distance. They are often used with larger baits such as powerbait or live bait. An obvious choice for children and beginners learning float fishing.

Transparent floats

Transparent floats are difficult for fish to detect and are therefore well suited to clear water and shy fish. Drennan and Trout Master make popular models for this purpose.

When should you choose which fleet?

  • For shy fish in clear water: Transparent or very small pen floats.
  • For beginners and children: Large plug floats that are easy to see and easy to use.
  • For fish close to the surface: Lightweight pen that detects even small bites.
