What is a passer-by?
A through-boom, also called a through-boom flash, is a flash that has a hole all the way along the length, where the fishing line goes through. This allows the through-boom flash to move alternately up and down when in use, which gives the flash the advantage of being very dynamic when it moves in the water. This helps to attract various fish – including sea trout.
A flashing light can be designed in many different ways. Most of them depict fish to a greater or lesser extent, but you will also find flashing lights on this page that are more neutral, where the focus is more on the contrasting colors. Through-flow – more advantages
There are several advantages to using a through-flash when fishing. First of all, you will find that you will have more success on your fishing trips, as the fish have a harder time wriggling free when you have a bite. The reason why some fish wriggle free is due to the so-called crowbar effect. But with a through-flash you minimize this risk considerably, because the hook is attached to the through-flash, which is why it does not slip up when the fish is on the hook.
Another advantage of fishing with a through-flash is that you can use a very slow reel-in. In addition, you can experiment with different tempos in connection with your reel-in. For example, you can alternate between reeling in and stopping - this trick can attract the fish.
However, there are several things you need to be aware of when fishing with a fly rod. Factors such as the season, water temperature, fishing location, and choice of fly rod all have an impact on how successful your fishing trip will be.
When fishing with a through-flash, we recommend that you change colors regularly. If you don't have success with one color, you will most likely have success with another. And as already mentioned, a slow spin can be extremely effective.
