The smartest thing about choosing a folding knife is that it can be easily taken with you without you really noticing it. When you suddenly find yourself in a situation where you need to be able to cut, you have your knife right at hand.
Where a fixed blade dagger would take up more space and must be put in, for example, the belt, the blade of a folding knife can be folded, which is why it suddenly takes up very little space. Since the knife is an important part of the equipment of fishermen and hunters, a folding knife can be a practical solution. Many of the knives also have rounded corners and edges, which means that you avoid irritation when you have it in your pocket. The Danish Knife Act generally states that you are allowed to bring your folding or pocket knife as long as it is used for a worthy purpose. If you buy a knife intended for fishing, it is therefore legal to bring it on a fishing trip.
