Neoprene is a strong and durable material
Neoprene waders are a great choice if you tend to freeze when you stand and fish. New times have come, and you can get waders that are combined with a breathable top part and a neoprene bottom part. This solves the problem that you can easily freeze in the water and sweat when you walk on land in your neoprene waders. Most neoprene waders are fitted with a fixed boot. However, it is also possible to get some with a sock, like most breathable waders .
If you fish in Denmark from October to May, a pair of neoprene waders is a must. At fluer.dk the selection is large, and therefore you will naturally get help choosing a model if you need it. We know all the models we have in the range, and therefore we can easily guide you based on your shoe and body size.
Choosing the sole for your neoprene waders
As most people know, there are different soles on boots. There are rubber soles and felt soles, but what should you choose? If you are going to use waders for coastal fishing, you should choose a felt sole, as it stands well on wet and slippery rocks. The only drawback is the durability if you walk a lot in your waders on land.
If you are walking along a stream or lakeshore, the rubber sole is the right choice. It stands up well on wet grass and leaves and also holds up better than felt.
Neoprene waders for hunting should always have a rubber sole and preferably in a greenish color. When choosing a neoprene wader for hunting, there is no reason to choose the most expensive one, as there is a high risk of damaging it during use. Trees can, among other things, damage your waders, so they need to be replaced or patched and an expensive pair does not hold up better to avoid these damages.
