Fishing South Jutland

There is no better hobby than fishing. Everywhere in Denmark we are lucky enough to live close to either the sea, a river or a lake or all three - and this makes it possible for anglers to fish all year round under exactly the conditions we want.

Fishing in Southern Jutland is big, and there is good reason for that, because there are plenty of places to explore with your fishing rod, and it is something we can only highly recommend.

Inshore fishing along the beautiful coast

If you are more into coastal fishing, then there are really good opportunities for fishing along the coast in Southern Jutland. All the way from Horsens to Als, the coast is full of good fishing spots that you can give a try.

You don't need to apply for any special permit when you want to fish along the coast in Southern Jutland, but as with all other saltwater fishing, it is of course necessary that you apply for and pay for a fishing license. In addition, it is easy to get started with coastal fishing in Southern Jutland, and you just have to start fishing, as long as you make sure to stay at least 50 meters from private areas with buildings.

The best times of year to have success catching something along the coast here are generally from March to May and then again from September to November. This is when you have the best chance of bringing home a delicious catch.

Fishing in Kolding River

There is also a very good opportunity to catch fish in Kolding Å, and here you just have to be aware of which areas along the river you are allowed to fish from. It is important that you follow the rules so that we can ensure that we take the best possible care of the fish.

Here you are allowed a maximum of one fishing rod per fisherman. Therefore, it is a good idea to take several out together if you are going to catch dinner, so you have a better chance of getting a bite on the trip.

These are often privately owned, and here you only pay for the time you use, making it an easily accessible way to fish for both experienced and novice anglers, children and adults.
