When and where do you use it?

The Akara Softtail Seducer is primarily used in pike-infested lakes where the pike hunt for prey along reed edges, over vegetation and at drop-offs. It is effective from spring to autumn when the pike are active, but can also be fished more slowly in colder periods.

Size guide – which size should you choose?

  • 10 cm: Good for lakes with smaller prey fish or when there is high fishing pressure. Effective for more careful fishing and when the pike follow without biting.
  • 13 cm: For more pronounced pike fishing, larger prey fish and when you want to sort out smaller fish. Suitable for active lake fishing and chasing pike.

How to fish Akara Softtail Seducer

  1. Jighead: Classic method for lake fishing. Fish the bait with controlled jumps over the bottom or along edges and depth changes.
  2. Offset / weedless rig: Ideal over vegetation and reed edges where the risk of bottom impact is high.
  3. Spinning with stop: Smooth spinning interrupted by short pauses where the tail continues to work on the fall.
  4. Pace by season: Faster and more aggressive in warm water – slower and more controlled in cold water.

Color choices for lake fishing for pike

  • Clear water: Natural or darker colors create a realistic silhouette.
  • Turbid water: Strong contrasting colors make the bait easier for pike to locate.
  • Change color for followers: If you get followers without a follow, a color change can often trigger the reaction.
