This movie is for beginners.

The highly acclaimed fly casting instructor Lars Chr. Bentsen guides you throughout. He is a Master Casting Instructor in the Federation of Fly Fishers, and he is internationally recognized for his skills in teaching fly casting. The film is about fly casting with a one-handed rod.

He shows how to put together the gear: rod, fly reel, backline, fly line and leader. He shows in practice how easy it is to get started with your very first fly cast. We see roll casts, overhand casts, double pulls and how to shoot the line.

But first and foremost, Lars Chr. Bentsen shows the very important basic elements of good fly casting. Although it is a film for beginners, many more experienced fly fishermen will be able to benefit from the very basic basic elements of fly casting. If you know these rules, it is much easier to correct your own mistakes.

A good fly cast is easy and elegant, and this film shows how it should be done.
