Description

The Scientific Anglers Amplitude Smooth MPX fly line series represents the pinnacle of smooth fly line performance. Engineered to deliver up to five times less drag and eight times the durability compared to traditional fly lines, this line revolutionizes the casting experience. Designed half a size heavy, the MPX taper builds on the successful GPX design by adding more mass toward the front of the head, enhancing presentation without sacrificing power.

  • Incorporates the innovative AST Plus slickness additive for superior shooting and increased durability
  • Ideal for general presentation techniques targeting species such as trout, panfish, bass, grayling, and carp
  • Also suitable for steelhead, salmon, and pike fishing scenarios
  • Optimized to load fast-action rods but versatile enough for a range of rod actions
  • Excels when used with large dry flies, nymphs, and streamers
  • Designed for use in moderate and cold climates
  • Constructed with a braided multifilament core for strength and smoothness

Proper maintenance is key to retaining optimal floating and slickness. Regular cleaning with soap and water, or even better, cleaning pads, restores the line’s hydrophobic properties ensuring better floatation, casting distance, and durability. Cleaning pads are portable and effective whether wet or dry, helping maintain the line’s performance every few outings.

  • No rush or rush

Despite being busy with many orders, due to wild prices, I received my 3rd order for May/June today without any errors or defects. Since some of the items I had ordered were sold out, I was contacted by Rene, who I assume is partly a warehouse worker for Fluer, and together we found a good alternative.
