Description

The Scientific Anglers Headway SH/Switch Belly Float is a cutting-edge shooting head system designed specifically for seatrout and salmon anglers. It offers versatility and powerful casting performance in a single, customizable fly line system.

  • Developed for both spey/underhand and overhead casting with strong turnovers and long distance in mind.
  • Features a rear weighted shooting head for enhanced casting control.
  • Designed exclusively to be used with Headway interchangeable tips, which come in 5 densities from floating to sink 7.
  • Slim loop-to-loop connection eliminates hinging, ensuring smooth line transition and straight delivery to the fly.
  • Bright orange/mustard tracer aids line visibility in all light conditions.
  • Shooting texture enhances line pickup for quick, easy casts.
  • Collaboratively created with Flyfish Europe to meet European salmon fishing demands.
  • The system supports various belly weights (14g, 16g, 18g, 20g) and tip lengths (9', 12', 15', 18'), making it adaptable for rods from 6wt single hand to 8/9 wt double hand.

Proper line care is recommended to maintain flotation, including regular cleaning with soap and water or specialized cleaning pads to keep the hydrophobic surface effective.

  • No rush or rush

Despite being busy with many orders, due to wild prices, I received my 3rd order for May/June today without any errors or defects. Since some of the items I had ordered were sold out, I was contacted by Rene, who I assume is partly a warehouse worker for Fluer, and together we found a good alternative.
