After 5 years on the market, we can safely say that Barbarus is here to stay. Barbarus has grown with the task and is a versatile, strong, waterproof and breathable product.

Status after the first 5 years: Barbarus passed the test with a complaint rate of less than 0.5 ‰!

Regardless of water column pressure, the choice of materials and construction has shown that nothing works better in reality than Barbarus.

Our goal with the Barbarus Asimi is to combine the "rock-solid" waterproof and breathable construction with a more contemporary and functional design. We have also lined the Barbarus Asimi to keep you warm on even the coldest winter days.

Thus, Barbarus Asimi can be considered a worthy member of our family of premium waterproof and breathable garments.

Our experience in waterproof and breathable design constructions forms a rock-solid foundation in Barbarus. A piece of clothing that is on par with our best products in terms of waterproofness, environmental considerations and durability – but where the price is almost barbarically low. You will find it hard to believe that such a light garment can provide such a good feeling of protection and comfort.

Insulation
Barbarus Asimi has a lining made of Polyester, a product called imitation silk-cotton. The lining is woven in a thick and airy thread which ensures high strength and long life.
The combination of the protective outer shell and dense lining provides exceptional breathability, transporting excess heat away from the body. The filling stays in place, so you don't get cold spots. Our synthetic filling is quick-drying and insulates even when wet (something down struggles to do).

Pockets
Two hidden vertical front pockets located at chest height. The pockets are carefully matched in depth and the seams are protected with tape for optimal protection against water.
The pocket design protects the fish from zippers when the fish is held against the jacket during, for example, photography.
Two hidden slant pockets and one inner pocket, all equipped with YKK® zippers.

All pockets are easy to access and operate with one hand.

Zippers : YKK® aluminum alloy zippers take advantage of the “light weight” of aluminum, but they are resistant to moisture, temperature, friction, acid, salt, etc.

Material:
Barbarus Asimi is made from an innovative material that provides excellent protection against the elements. A durable and tough polyamide outer fabric with superior waterproofness, breathability and heat-reflecting properties.
The fabric allows excess heat and moisture to evaporate without compromising waterproofing, leaving you dry and comfortable all day long.
Water column: 10,000 mm. (iso0811) - or as we promise: Guaranteed waterproof.
Lining: Soft and warm micro fleece.

The hood is adjustable with one-handed drawstrings. The elastic adjustment system allows you to adjust the fit to your exact head size, even if you're wearing your favorite cap. The hood is of course also insulated to prevent cold loss from the head.
The new wrist/cuff closure features our latest Hypalon closure with molded and patented Velcro®
The fit of the jacket has been improved and adjusted to give you an even better experience when you use it actively.

Colors and sizes
Barbarus Asimi comes in Grey.
Comes in S to XXXL -as well as “JX”, which is about 4 sizes above XXXL

Environment
Barbarus is known for its strong and long-lasting design and quality that has become synonymous with the product, and the choice of materials will ensure that it will outlast most other jackets. Long product life is essential when it comes to limiting climate impact.
