Description

The Greys Platinum X Float fly line range is designed to provide precision and delicacy in fly fishing across all water types. Available in AFTM ratings #5 to #8, these lines feature a tri-colour floating design with a medium-length head and full-size heavy profile to maximize performance with modern fast action fly rods. Their slick, smooth coating offers low memory and excellent handling, paired with a low diameter running line for ease of casting. Also available as a midge tip with a short intermediate tip section, it is ideal for nymph fishing and "washing line" tactics just beneath the surface. The Platinum X series also offers sinking models in dual colours, tailored for both boat and riverbank tactics with aggressive taper for long distance casting. For technical river anglers, a unique twin taper WF line is available, featuring a delicate 9g extended profile that can be reversed for use as a level Euro Nymph line, complete with an indicator mono core and fitted micro ring.

  • Comprehensive range with models from #5 to #8
  • 105 ft (32 m) overall length
  • Tri-colour floating and dual-colour sinking models
  • Slick, supple coating with low memory
  • Welded loops for durability
  • Eco-friendly packaging
  • Designed in the UK
  • Suitable for fly fishing, especially targeting trout species like brown trout and rainbow trout

  • No rush or rush

Despite being busy with many orders, due to wild prices, I received my 3rd order for May/June today without any errors or defects. Since some of the items I had ordered were sold out, I was contacted by Rene, who I assume is partly a warehouse worker for Fluer, and together we found a good alternative.
