The Savage Gear Defiance SG2 Distance Game family features extra-long spinning rods designed specifically for superior casting distance, making them perfect for saltwater fishing situations where reaching far beyond the shore or river mouth is essential. These rods excel in surf fishing scenarios targeting species like sea bass, and they work exceptionally well with minnows, metal lures, spoons, and sinking pencils.

  • Constructed from high modulus 24/30T carbon fiber blanks for strength and sensitivity
  • Equipped with SeaGuide Gold Label reel seats and SeaGuide Gunsmoke SW guides for corrosion resistance and durability
  • Designed with CCS guide settings optimized for extra-long casts
  • Fast rod action and medium heavy to heavy power options
  • Durable EVA split grip handles for comfort
  • Includes deluxe rod bags for protection during transport

Ideal fishing methods include surfcasting in coastal environments.

Recommended for target species such as sea bass in saltwater settings.

  • No rush or rush

Despite being busy with many orders, due to wild prices, I received my 3rd order for May/June today without any errors or defects. Since some of the items I had ordered were sold out, I was contacted by Rene, who I assume is partly a warehouse worker for Fluer, and together we found a good alternative.
