SIMMS FREESTONE Pant Smoke -2023 model

Over the years, many fishermen have tested Freestone in various waters around the world and the majority have really discovered how reliable a wader it is. Now the much-loved Freestone comes in a new and fresh design with a lot of upgraded features but of course with the same raw power! Freestone offers a 4-layer Toray® membrane that can handle the more demanding waters, where vegetation can be hard on the waders. Freestone comes with an incredibly good fit and you quickly forget you are even wearing waders when you are walking by the water. In addition to a really solid membrane, the Toray® membrane ensures you a really good breathability, so you can stay dry inside when you are walking to and from the fishing spot and wading for a whole day along the river.

This model of Freestone is a pant/waist model, which means it does not go much above the waist. This can be incredibly comfortable on hot days by the water, when you want a cooler alternative to your traditional waders. Fishermen are especially happy with these waders, as you rarely wade so deep that it becomes problematic. The pant model comes with two pockets in the front for storing gear. There is a zipper in the front to help get in and out of the waders.

Four-layer Toray® QudraLam™
Toray® fabric technology was invented specifically with wader fishing in mind. The QudraLam™ fabric used by Freestone® is a heavily engineered fabric with a microporous waterproof coating that utilizes a 2-layer fabric, a single membrane and backing to offer increased durability.

Maintenance:
These waders are breathable, although not as breathable as GORE-TEX®. They do not have the same properties as GORE-TEX® and you will therefore not be able to find small holes and leaks using the alcohol test. Take care of all your Simms waders as if they were with a GORE-TEX® membrane. Be sure to dry them after use, do not wear jeans when wearing waders and never put them in the dryer or any other form of heat drying.
Simms cannot replace the socks on these waders. They can only fit custom socks on GORE-TEX® waders.
When washing your waders, it is best to hand wash them. Use cold water and regular detergent that does not contain bleach. Once you have washed your waders, be sure to dry them thoroughly. Start with the inside first. Never put your waders in a dryer or drying cabinet as the heat will melt the seam tape on your waders in which case your warranty will be void.
