Sock waders made with wading deeper and hiking longer in mind thanks to durable and breathable 4-layer Toray® fabric and a fit designed to enhance your mobility - both while wading and when hiking to reach the fishing spot.
Simms' Freestone® sock waders are the obvious choice from your first cast to full-on fishing obsession. Durable and breathable 4-layer Toray® QuadraLam™ material handles scrubby hikes and cold, wet weather, while the movement-enhancing fit gives you natural mobility both on the trail and in the water.
When it comes to small details that make a big difference, it's important to highlight that the Freestone waders from Simms include a large fleece-lined pocket with access from both sides. This makes it easy to warm up cold fingers. You'll also find a secure chest pocket for storing your tools and a fly patch for attaching your flies.
Simms Freestone waders are made with the following materials and features:

Four-layer Toray® QudraLam™
Toray® fabric technology was invented specifically with wader fishing in mind. The QudraLam™ fabric used by Freestone® is a heavily engineered fabric with a microporous waterproof coating that utilizes a 2-layer fabric, a single membrane and backing to offer increased durability.

Maintenance:
These waders are breathable, although not as breathable as GORE-TEX®. They do not have the same properties as GORE-TEX® and you will therefore not be able to find small holes and leaks using the alcohol test. Take care of all your Simms waders as if they were with a GORE-TEX® membrane. Be sure to dry them after use, do not wear jeans when wearing waders and never put them in the dryer or any other form of heat drying.
Simms cannot replace the socks on these waders. They can only fit custom socks on GORE-TEX® waders.
When washing your waders, it is best to hand wash them. Use cold water and regular detergent that does not contain bleach. Once you have washed your waders, be sure to dry them thoroughly. Start with the inside first. Never put your waders in a dryer or drying cabinet as the heat will melt the seam tape on your waders in which case your warranty will be void.
