Maintenance
Regular cleaning of your GORE-TEX® garments will extend the life of your garments. It will also help maintain breathability, as dirt and oil can block the GORE-TEX® membrane over time.
Washing jackets is critical. Natural oils can damage the GORE-TEX® tape and adhesive, causing the tape to peel off.
Machine wash warm, do not use fabric softener or bleach.
Remember to close all zipper pockets and close all Velcro joints before washing the jacket to avoid damage from the washing machine.
Tumble dry on warm air but not on high heat. By drying it on a hot setting you actually reactivate the DWR coating.
